How it works

Warranty Tracking, step by step

1

Register it where the work was documented

After a ceramic or film job, tap Register warranty on the delivery record. Name the coverage and expiry. It stays linked to the record.

2

Or add the ones that predate the software

Add coatings you sold before Strata. Search the client, pick the car, type the coverage, set the expiry. No record or appointment required.

3

The list sorts itself by what comes due first

Warranties sort soonest-expiry first in three bands: expiring within 60 days, active, and expired. Filter to Due soon, or search coverage, client, vehicle, and notes.

4

Your weekly email puts the due ones in front of you

Once a week Strata emails you the one thing most worth doing. When nothing more urgent is queued, that's "4 warranties expire within 60 days."

It tells you who to call. It never calls them.

Nothing here sends your customer anything. No automatic text, reminder, or email. Strata puts the right name in front of you, and the call is yours.

A warranty rides on the work that earned it

A warranty registered from a record keeps a link back to it. Two years later, follow the link to the delivery photos and condition notes.

Sixty days is a rebooking window, not a reminder

Sixty days gives you time to rebook before coverage lapses. Past the date, the row flips to "Expired 12 days ago" in red and stays listed.

Most shop software doesn't track this at all

Of the four systems we audited against, only OrbisX tracks warranties. For a ceramic or PPF shop, the warranty is the recurring revenue.

What you get

The coatings coming due show up as a call list instead of something you meant to remember

A warranty question years later opens the record with the photos still on it

Coating and film jobs that predate Strata still make the list

Repeat warranty work gets rebooked before the coverage lapses

Nothing reaches a customer unless you're the one who sends it

Warranty Tracking questions

Does Strata text my customers when a warranty is about to expire?

No. Warranty tracking shows who's coming due and never sends anything on its own. The weekly email goes to you. You reach out over your own texting line.

Can I register warranties for work I did before I started using Strata?

Yes. The Warranties page has its own form: search the client, pick the vehicle if you have it, name the coverage, set the expiry. No record or appointment needed.

What counts as expiring soon?

Anything expiring inside the next 60 days. Further out sits under Active. Past its date, it moves to Expired and stays visible.

Does the warranty live on the customer or on the car?

On the customer, with the vehicle attached when you have it, and a link back to the record. Three coated cars means three warranties, each with its own date.
