Weekly updates

What shipped this week

Every release since the first App Store build in July 2026, in the words a shop sees in the store. Built by a working detail shop, shipped to the iPhone and Android apps and the web together.

  1. Version 5.2iPhoneAndroidWeb

5.2: every job in five pages, and the next step one tap away

5.2 is built for the phone in your hand. Every job now opens as five pages, Details, Services, Money, Notes and History, under the same tabs as your Clients page, with the next step and its button right above them. Tap Money and the money is the whole page; a note you started waits for you on Notes. Every link to a job you already have still opens the right page.

A client's page leads with what comes next. When a visit is booked, the button names it, with the day and the time, and opens it. When nothing is booked, the button books one, with Send a quote right beside it.

Coupons and gift cards share one page, Promotions, with a tab for each. Messages has a Texts tab beside All, Unread and Emails. Sign out is on your Profile page and asks once before it signs you out.

When you type in a sheet on your phone, its title and its close button stay in view, and the Save button steps out of the way until the keyboard goes. On iPhone, a notification you tap while Strata is open takes you straight to what it is about.

Strata's servers now run in the United States, so every page opens faster. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 5.2 reaches the stores.

  2. Version 5.1iPhoneAndroidWeb

5.1: Ask Strata leads the day

Ask Strata leads in 5.1. Under every answer it offers three asks to take next, written for the question you just asked, so the day keeps moving without typing. When Ask has a change for you it shows one card with the result and three choices: Confirm to make it, Change to edit it right there, or Not this to put it away and tell Ask what you wanted.

Ask does more of the daily work from the ask window. Put a technician on a job, add a vehicle, find a quote and mark it accepted, move a lead along, answer a booking request with a yes, a no or other times, put away an Autopilot move, change a service's price or a job's line price. A card that changes a price shows the old figure beside the new one, and nothing changes until you press Confirm. On Pro and Premier, Ask can also text a customer for you: the card shows the exact words, who gets them and the line they go from.

Strata also has new plans, Solo, Pro and Premier: new shops get $20 off Solo and Pro for their first 3 months, and shops already on a plan keep theirs. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 5.1 reaches the stores.

  3. Version 5.0iPhoneAndroidWeb

5.0: everything works as it promises, and Ask Strata runs your day

5.0 is built around one idea: Strata does what it says. The money on Home, Invoices, Finances and in Ask is one number, counted one way. Each person on your team sees the buttons their role can use. Your customers' pages show the real status of their visit and the real balance, cancelling a visit tells your client, and the words on your screens, in your emails and in your texts describe what happens when you press.

Ask Strata runs the day with you. Take a photo of a price list, a job sheet or a business card, or say it out loud, and Ask turns it into one card to check and press. Ask finds when a job fits, books it, moves it or cancels it, takes a deposit, and sends a quote, an invoice or a payment link, each on a card that names who gets what and changes nothing until you press it. Today's finished jobs go onto one card to invoice and send together. Ask drafts texts into your inbox for you to send, remembers what you tell it about your shop, answers how anything in Strata works, and knows the page you are on, so "this client" means the client in front of you.

Your booking page is new. Customers see your services as a clean menu, tap one to read what's included, pick a size and any add-ons, and choose a time from a week of openings. They can put more than one service in a booking, ask you first when you'd rather check the car, and pay a deposit right in the checkout while their time is held. Returning customers fill in their details with a code by text. Make it yours in the builder: your logo, colors, light or dark, a photo menu or a list, the words on the page, and where you work, with a travel fee for the visits you drive to. Preview shows every change before you save, and Share puts the whole page on your own website. Analytics shows how many customers opened the page, picked a time and booked, and how many tapped Call, Text or Directions. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 5.0 reaches the stores.

  4. Version 4.9iPhoneAndroidWeb

The boring update: 4.9 is the one you feel, not see

Nothing new to learn in 4.9. No new screens, no moved buttons. What changed is how Strata feels on a busy day.

When your whole team is saving at once, every save goes through, in order. Book a quote straight onto the schedule and it lands in its slot like any other job. Four in the afternoon feels like eight in the morning.

Ask Strata thinks first and answers once. You can watch it check your schedule, your numbers and your clients, then the whole answer shows up, ready to use.

Your customers get the same calm: your booking page and customer hub stay quick while the shop is busy. Big spreadsheet to import? It goes through in one steady pass. And when someone leaves, their account closes cleanly, everything it was connected to included. Joining a team still starts with an invitation.

Plus dozens of smaller refinements under the hood. That is why we call it the boring update. It is the best kind. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 4.9 reaches the stores.

  5. Version 4.8iPhoneAndroidWeb

Moves that fit your trade, and a second look before every text

Moves now fit the kind of shop you run. A detailing shop still sees who is due back and who has gone quiet. A tint, wrap, PPF or performance shop sees what matters there instead: a lead that asked and went quiet, a warranty ending soon, a finished job worth a referral, and a campaign to follow up the leads who never booked. Same dashboard, the right moves for your business.

Every text you send from a card now shows you the whole message first: who gets it, the exact words, and when it leaves. One more tap, no surprises. The same confirm sits in front of Approve & send in Autopilot, texting a quote, resending a message, and the follow-ups on your lists.

A cleaner run through the app: every screen sits clear of the Ask button on phones and desktops, campaign filters behave with the keyboard, records read whole on a phone, and the invoice page says each thing once. Under the hood, texts from a card that never left are undone and you are told, offers and follow-ups respect the shared line's daily share, and a lead who fills your form has their texting consent on record. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 4.8 reaches the stores.

  6. Version 4.7iPhoneAndroidWeb

Strata does the work, you press send

Open your dashboard and it starts with Moves: the handful of things that need you today, one card each. An overdue invoice, a quote that went quiet, a customer due back, a booking request waiting for a yes, an open slot tomorrow. The text is already written in your shop's voice. Read it, press once, it sends. Ask Strata can rewrite the words on any card, and technicians get their own day, with Done and Reopen per service.

Every text and email Strata sends on its own now lives on one Automations tab. One row per automation: how it goes out, when, the links it needs, and what the customer reads. Texting and email each get a switch, and a Yelp review link sits beside the Google one.

Campaigns are one screen. Pick who gets it inside the campaign, see how many can get it and why the rest can't, send yourself a test, then send. Campaigns go out in your shop's hours, and each customer gets at most one marketing email a week.

Booking runs on your rules. Put your booking page and lead form on your own website with one snippet. Approving a request uses your real capacity and tells you when a time falls outside your hours. What the customer picks online is what gets booked, and they can ask to add more from their hub.

The money adds up. Memberships cover the visit, typed prices stay put, deposits say exactly what happens, and a customer adds their visit to their calendar in one tap.

And the quiet work: notes hide a customer's phone, email and address from team members without contact permission, a new sign-in email proves its inbox first, and every screen was checked on a phone so nothing is cut off. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as 4.7 reaches the stores.

  7. Version 4.6iPhoneAndroidWeb

Your customer hub now looks like your shop

The customer hub is the page a customer reaches from their appointment page, every estimate and every invoice, and from the hub email you send from a client's record. In 4.6 it wears your logo and your colors, the same ones as your booking page and your emails, so a customer sees one shop from the first text to the last payment. It opens on the three numbers they care about: estimates waiting on their answer, the balance they owe, and their next visit. Under the appointment sit the add-ons that pair with what they booked, each with its details and one tap to ask you to add it.

Messages now fills the screen on every device, so a conversation shows more of the thread and the Sent log shows more rows. Gift card search finds any card you ever sold, by code or by name, and gift cards and coupons show money in your shop's own currency. Payment history on an invoice reads as cards on a phone, the booking request sheet keeps its labels on every phone size, and a quote you approve at the counter carries the date you approved it.

Under the hood, every screen a person on your team opens matches what their role allows, buttons carry names for screen readers, and every device signs in again after thirty days. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.6 update reaches the stores.

  8. Version 4.5iPhoneAndroidWeb

Every feature explains itself, and booking requests get a real home

Every advanced feature in Strata now explains itself. One tap on the orange plus under the header of quotes, invoices, coupons, gift cards, records, warranties, audiences, campaigns, inventory, memberships or messages opens three steps that say exactly how to use it, in the words the screen uses. On quotes and invoices the steps tick off what your shop has already done.

Booking requests have a new home. Every request a customer sends from your booking page sits in one list with the work, the vehicle and the time they asked for, and opening one shows whether that time is open on your calendar before you decide. Approve it, offer other times, or ask for another day, all from the same sheet, and the customer picks from a link.

The small things land right, too. The side menu opens on the section you are in. The appointment record's More actions opens as one full-width list, the way the edit screen does. Adding a service to a quote or invoice says so at the bottom of the screen. Booking a job adds a vehicle in place and keeps a new client's address for the mobile job. Texts to your customers carry short links. Ask Strata who hasn't been back in a while. And every button on the phone is a proper thumb-sized target.

Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.5 update reaches the stores.

  9. Version 4.4iPhoneAndroidWeb

    Faster on the phone

Strata 4.4 is about speed and feel. The app opens faster on the phone and lands on Home sooner. The side menu follows your finger and settles where you leave it. Taps respond at once, sheets open quicker, and number fields bring up the number pad. The calendar shows its frame while it loads. Plus a list of small refinements across the app, from the first launch to the last tap. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.4 update reaches the stores.

  10. Version 4.3iPhoneAndroidWeb

Your QR code, and emails that match your shop

Your booking page now has its own QR code and link, one tap away. Open the booking page and tap Share & QR: save the picture and print it for the counter, text it to a customer, or post it in your bio. Anyone who scans it lands on your booking page and books. Your emails match your shop now, too. Pick a look for your booking page and every confirmation, reminder, receipt and estimate a customer opens carries the same color, along with the appointment, invoice and estimate pages they land on. Nothing to set up. It follows the theme you already chose. Texting is easier to read at a glance: a reply that did not arrive says so in the thread, a customer who replied STOP is marked there with texting paused until they reply START, and Settings shows texts waiting to go out during quiet hours or at the daily limit. Under the hood, 4.3 carries dozens of small refinements across booking, sign-up and billing. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.3 update reaches the stores.

  11. Version 4.2iPhoneAndroidWeb

A polish release, and your plan at a glance

Strata 4.2 is the follow-up to 4.1: the small things that make the app feel finished. The lists share one filter row, Home, Finance and the Monday email read from the same numbers, and the details read right at a glance. Your plan, at a glance. Settings now shows the plan you're on and the date that matters next, in one line, with one button to manage it. Choosing a plan takes one tap: both plans side by side, the price in front of you, and a clear note that nothing is charged until your trial ends. If a trial has ended, one tap turns everything back on, and every client, appointment and invoice is right where you left it. Live on the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.2 update reaches the stores.

  12. Version 4.1iPhoneAndroidWeb

Messages rebuilt, and a client list that answers questions

Messages now opens on Sent: every text and email Strata sent for you, who it went to, and whether it arrived. When one does not, Strata says why in plain words, shows you the message as the customer saw it, and gives you the fix: correct the number, send it again, or see that the customer opted out. Snooze or dismiss anything you have handled. Every automated text also shows up on Home the moment it goes out, so you always see the work being done for you. Your client list now answers the questions you actually ask: top spenders, most visits, seen in the last 30 days, not seen in 60 days, owes money, no visits yet, added recently, and agreed to texts, with total spent, visits and last visit on every row and an order picker to match. Every list in Strata shares one clean filter row that shows you when there is more to the side. On the web today, and on iPhone and Android as the 4.1 update reaches the stores.

  13. Version 4.0iPhoneAndroidWeb

The trust release, and tips at checkout

Strata 4.0 is about trust. Online booking holds steady on a slow connection: a retry keeps your slot, the buffer between jobs is respected on both sides, and a deposit is charged once. Money lands where you look for it: a deposit taken on a booked job shows on its invoice, and Home, Finance and the Monday email read from the same numbers. Texts and emails keep their manners: a customer's yes confirms the appointment you asked about, quiet hours stay quiet, and reminders follow a rescheduled visit. The calendar keeps each technician on one car at a time, even when a bay is free, and moving several jobs at once keeps every job whole. Tipping is live: customers add 15, 20 or 25 percent or their own amount when they pay an invoice, you choose the options in Settings, Finance and Explore track every tip, and the crew's tips ride their earnings. Live on iPhone, Android and the web.

  14. Version 3.9iPhoneAndroidWeb

Booking moves faster, and one screen edits a booked job

Sharing a customer's appointment, invoice, or quote link from inside the app opens the share sheet. Booking is quicker to move through: adding a new client sits at the top of the list, each step opens at the top of the page, and a booking with a confirmation email finishes as soon as it is saved. Editing a booked appointment is one screen with three parts, Schedule, Details, and Pricing, so timing, the client and vehicle, the location, the total price, the deposit, and the taxes and fees are all in one place, and moving a start time carries the end time with it. The side menu opens on a sideways pull, leaves an ordinary scroll alone, and gives a light tap the moment it takes the gesture.

  15. Version 3.8iPhoneAndroidWeb

Customers choose their texts, and signing in stays put

The side menu now opens with a swipe from anywhere on the screen, not just from the very edge, and it stays out of the way of an ordinary scroll. Customers who book online choose for themselves whether they want appointment texts, and you can see and change that choice on their record. Your session stays put between visits, and a password change carries straight through on the device you made it on.

  16. Version 3.7iPhoneAndroidWeb

The whole app, rebuilt for one hand between cars

Strata 3.7 rebuilds the whole app around the way a shop actually works: one hand, on the move, between cars. Your navigation slides in from the left edge, so every part of the shop is one swipe away from wherever you are, and menus open right where your thumb already is. Text is sized to be read at arm's length with the phone sitting on the bench, and dark mode runs on a deeper, warmer palette that holds its tone on every screen. Settings is grouped into five plain sections, with your integrations and automations sorted by what they actually do for your customers. Turn the phone sideways and the app comes with you.

  17. Version 3.6iPhoneAndroidWeb

Ask your shop, and it does the work

Meet the Strata assistant. Ask a question in plain words and get your own numbers back: who still owes you, what is booked this week, which quotes are going quiet. Tell it to fix what it found and it will, pausing for your confirmation before anything reaches a customer. It is on every plan with nothing to connect. Also new: a gift card storefront your customers can buy from, duplicate customers merged into one record, per-shop invoice numbering, and Android joins the iPhone app on Google Play.

  18. Version 3.5iPhoneWeb

Your first hour, rebuilt around your shop

Setting up a new shop is six steps that Strata works out from what you have already done, so the next thing to do is always the top of the list. Every shop gets one short booking link to hand out everywhere, a five-service starter menu ready to edit, and the month's revenue goal on the home screen from day one. The contacts picker, the share sheet, and the QR card for your booking page now work straight from the iPhone app.

  19. Version 3.4iPhoneWeb

Add a customer from your contacts

Adding a customer can start from your phone's contacts, with no permission prompt and no typing. Onboarding is quicker and clearer, and every new shop starts with a menu ready to edit.

  20. Version 3.3iPhoneWeb

Crew, records, and one email design for everything

Technicians get their own schedule and availability, assignment per service, and pay that stays private to the roles that should see it. Vehicle records hold intake photos, documents, and signed customer copies. Every email Strata sends now shares one clean design, and a new shop is handed its booking link the moment it signs up instead of a checklist. Settings gets shorter: twenty-two checkboxes became five things a shop can scan.

  21. Version 3.2iPhoneWeb

Find anyone, not just the recent ones

Search finds every client, lead, expense, and service, however long your list has grown. The day view in the calendar lists one card per row so a busy morning reads top to bottom.

  22. Version 3.1iPhoneWeb

    The app opens on Home

A cold start opens on the Home screen, so the first thing you see is the work, not a dashboard. The dashboard header matches the rest of the new app.

  23. Version 3.0iPhoneWeb

Strata 3.0: the app opens on the work, not the records

A new home screen puts your day, your money, your customers, and your catalog on four tiles you can rearrange, with a live strip of what just came in: bookings, leads, payments, messages. Booking a job is who, what, when, and done, with vehicle-size pricing and real slot capacity. The calendar's day and week views are true timelines, and the dashboard becomes Pulse: while you were out, what needs your call, today, and this month. One way to move around, everywhere.

  24. Version 2.9iPhoneWeb

You stay signed in between visits

Your session renews itself quietly while you work, so the app stays signed in between visits. Onboarding is smoother from the first screen to the first booking.

  25. Version 2.8iPhoneWeb

A new interface, and a booking page you design

Strata wears a new interface throughout: calmer chrome, one set of filter pills, and workflow cards that lead with the thing you came for. Your booking page gets a design studio with six themes and three layouts, and onboarding walks a new shop from sign-up to its first booking without a checklist.

  26. Version 2.7iPhoneWeb

Privacy mode, and quick actions from the home screen

Privacy mode hides customer names and revenue across clients and the dashboard for when someone is looking over your shoulder. Long-press the app icon for quick actions that go straight to booking, clients, and today. Mobile jobs keep the service address on the record.

  27. Version 2.6iPhoneWeb

The calendar, and texting from your own number

The calendar is rebuilt for the phone: month, week, and day, with the day's jobs in lanes. Shops on Focus and Flow can text customers from their own Twilio number with a one-paste setup.

  28. Version 2.5iPhoneWeb

    One look, everywhere

Every screen in the app shares one set of panels, spacing, and controls. Finances is one screen to track from, with the detail behind tabs. One logo studio serves your booking page, your lead form, and your documents, with uploads straight from the iPhone. Settings is grouped into sections with Help and feedback built in.

  29. Version 2.4iPhoneWeb

Estimates with options, paid at approval

Send an estimate with more than one option and let the customer pick. Approval can take payment on the spot, and the signed approval is a real document you can print and keep. Printing is sharper across every document.

  30. Version 2.3iPhoneWeb

    Public invoices, paid and recorded

A customer paying an invoice from the link you sent is recorded on the invoice the moment the payment settles, and every customer-facing document opens cleanly on any phone.

  31. Version 2.2iPhoneWeb

Sign-in on any size of screen

Sign-in, sign-up, and password screens fit and scroll on every phone size and with larger text settings, so the button you need is right there.

  32. Version 2.1iPhoneWeb

    A top-to-bottom quality pass

All-new onboarding: pick your shop type, name your workspace, and Strata builds your schedule, workflow, and booking page around it, so you are operational in under a minute. Today's Moves walks a new shop through building the foundation first: services, add-ons, booking page, first quote. Every screen clears the home indicator, pages open at the top, and dark mode holds everywhere. On a bad connection, the app says so plainly and keeps you signed in.

  33. Version 2.0iPhoneWeb

    Meet Autopilot

Autopilot is the first shop CRM feature that works your books for you. Strata learns each customer's real visit rhythm and lines up the money moves you would otherwise miss: the regular who is two weeks past their usual detail, with the text already written; the quote going cold; the high-value client whose visits are quietly stretching apart; the finished job that never got invoiced; even the empty day coming up after a rainy stretch, exactly when people book. Everything waits in one queue behind the new bolt icon, nothing sends until you tap Approve, and Autopilot then shows you, in real dollars, what it earned.

  34. Version 1.9iPhoneWeb

    Strata closes the loop

Strata now tells you exactly what to do next, with your real numbers. The new Launch Plan and Today's Moves read your actual bookings, revenue, and pipeline to surface focused next steps like uncollected deposits, quiet weeks ahead, or a booking page that is not converting, and each move clears itself once handled. Messages lets you read and reply to customer texts inside Strata, customers confirm appointments by text, deposits can be paid online right after booking, every customer has a communication history, and review protection is available as an option.

  35. Version 1.8iPhoneWeb

    Strata gets smart

Your month, explained: the Monthly Recap links the work you tracked to what came of it and names the next best move. Set a monthly revenue goal and Strata builds the path, each step a single tap. A weekly summary lands in your inbox every Monday morning. Compliance is built in, with one-click email unsubscribe and STOP and START handling for texts.

Older releases are listed on the App Store and Google Play pages.
